Smart home devices are among the most anticipated products when it comes to this year’s Black Friday deals. No wonder, given that we’ve spent more time at home this year. Google’s home speakers are part of the most popular items available on the market, and they’ve gained this top place thanks to the neat features and technology they pack.
Thankfully, Google’s line of home speakers includes something for everybody, and even though prices on these devices fall several times throughout the year, they are likely to see greater cuts during the Black Friday event.
Last Year’s Black Friday Deals on Google Home Speakers
While we’re still waiting for more Black Friday ads to be released, taking a look at the deals offered during last year’s event might help us get an idea of what this year might bring. In 2019, Target offered the Google Nest Mini Gen 2 for only $19, which means you got to save $30, and the Google Nest Hub Max for $79, a deal that included a $50 price drop.
Best Buy also cut prices for last year’s Black Friday and discounted the Google Home Mini (1st Generation) Smart Speaker to $19.99 from $49.00. The Google Home Smart Speaker was also discounted at Staples and available for $49, which thus saved shoppers who purchased it $50. Staples also offered the Google Home Mini for only $29.
During Black Friday 2020, the Google Home Mini (1st Generation) was also discounted at Bed Bath & Beyond and paired with a $30 price cut, which thus made it available only for $19. This model was also available at Fred Meyer for the same sale price. The same retailer included the Google Home speaker in its deals and coupled it with a $50 discount, making it available for only $49.
We expect to see similar deals when Black Friday 2021 starts, and retailers that are likely to cut prices on Google Home Speakers include Best Buy and Walmart, besides the retailers mentioned above.
